A workshop led by Nadia Poureau
The weekend of February 8-9, 2025, we had the opportunity to participate in the Vajra Dance That Benefits Beings workshop, led with kindness and expertise by Nadia Poureau.
This event, filled with serenity and deep connection, took place in Paris, France, and brought together about fifteen practitioners who came to share a moment of harmony and discovery. During the sessions we explored the movements of the Vajra Dance That Benefits Beings, this wonderful terma of our Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
From the first session, we measured the complexity of this dance, where every step, every gesture and every rhythm has a precise meaning. Memorizing the sequences proved to be a real challenge, requiring concentration, perseverance and presence. Thanks to Nadia’s patience and precise explanations, and the strength of the group, we understood that this initial difficulty was only a passage to a deeper practice. Dance is not just choreography, but a true path of integration of Dzogchen, a contemplation in movement. Over the course of the practice, a trigger occurs: the body begins to naturally integrate the movements, and gradually learning gives way to less mechanical movements.
This course allowed newcomers to learn this practice and experienced practitioners to deepen their understanding of the connection between dance and contemplation by experiencing how movement becomes a support for contemplation and openness.
Many thanks to Nadia Poureau for her patient and inspiring support and to Chögyal Namkhai Norbu for the transmission of this infinitely rich teaching.
This weekend was an intense experience, reminding us that perseverance in practice allows us to overcome obstacles and fully enjoy the beauty of this sacred dance.
May this practice continue to shine for the benefit of all beings!
