September means coming back from the holiday time, back to our regular routine and rhythm. After the abundance of in-person retreats in August, after our holiday relaxation, summer vibes, or just trying to stay cool during the heatwave, we are now facing the same challenge, as every year.
We risk falling back into being overwhelmed by worries and things to do, whether it’s the shopping list obsession, problems at work, back-to-school, or big life-changing plans ready to manifest. It’s a month of passage, autumn slowly settling in, sunny days still bringing light-heartedness and joy.
It’s the right moment to establish a routine, starting with what we need to maintain our practice perfectly and with stability in everyday life. Rinpoche says in the root text of Santi Maha Sangha:
“The base of the teaching consists in studying, meditating and experiencing perfectly The Buddha’s perfect teaching” (Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, The Precious Vase, p. 22)
One of the goals of Sangha App is to focus and facilitate our learning by offering tools such as Events and Channels.
Every practitioner can create a practice or study event and thus commit to practice with others. Or create a channel to share resources and experiences.
Gakyils and Teachers can create courses (or recurrent events) and manage all the communication with Sangha App, avoiding too many emails. We created a Guide for Teachers and Gakyils for using Sangha App as a course management tool. If you are a course organizer, check it out and/or ask for a one-to-one meeting so we can help you!
Let us know what helps you maintain practice rhythm in your everyday life.
Reply to hello@mahasangha.net, and we will share the anonymous responses in our channel “Daily, weekly & secondary practices”.
They will surely help other practitioners, teachers and course organizers.
Love,
Sangha App Team
