The March 2017 issue of The Mirror brings our readers one of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s Teachings on Santi Maha Sangha given at Tsegyalgar East in July 2012 as well as a more recent one, The Dzogchen Community Is Like A Family, given in Dzamling Gar in January of this year.
This issue also presents Updates of Khaita Joyful Dances and Rinpoche’s comments to a Tibetan song called ‘Denba’, along with the Tibetan and drajor or phonetics.
Since our Teacher has spent the winter at the Global Gar in Tenerife, we have a section on activities there over the winter including Losar, a surprise celebration of Rinpoche’s 40 years of teaching, and an account of the two week Drubchen retreat.
There is a section with detailed accounts from different people of the situation with the Gar Houses at Dzamling Gar which have been completed and now offer accommodation. In ‘Paradise At Our Fingertips’, Alix de Fermor, the Garden Architect at Dzamling Gar, talks about how the gardens are growing and about the creation of new garden spaces at the Gar.
The Mirror interviewed Santi Maha Teacher, Elias Capriles, about his approach to SMS and about his recent publication, while our Artist in the Dzogchen Community for this issue is Chinese rock star, Zheng Jun. Julian King-Salter tells his story of How He Met Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
We are also happy to bring our readers the latest news from the various branches of the Shang Shung Institute around the world and from ASIA, as well as articles from Merigar West (Complete Victory Stupa), an invitation to Merigar East, and updates from Tsegyalgar East and West.
We hope you enjoy the issue!
