A Lift for Rinpoche’s House

Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s house in Dzamling Gar

The main construction of Rinpoche’s at Dzamling Gar has been completed and we are very happy that he was able to move in at the beginning of April 2014. Now we need to install a lift into Rinpoche’s apartment to make life more comfortable for him, his family and guests when they return in January 2015.

Currently Rinpoche’s apartment on Dzamling Gar consists of two floors where he and his family and guests will stay during the time they are here. However, right now, the two sections of the apartment are not joined and it is necessary to use a set of stairs outside of the building in order to move from one part of the house to another.

For this reason we will be installing a lift inside Rinpoche’s house so that he can move freely from one part to another without having to go outside. We would like to have this lift installed by the time Rinpoche arrives in January 2015.
