Maxim Leshchenko, a Level 3 Yantra Yoga instructor, recently participated in the ‘Physical Activity, Health, and Well-being’ course at the Adeje Summer University, which took place from July 21-23, 2025.
The Adeje Summer University is held annually in the southern campus of the University of La Laguna (ULL), located in the municipality of Adeje, and has become one of the most prominent summer universities in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and a standout among Spain’s summer universities.

Each year, esteemed educators and national and international personalities share their knowledge with students interested in various subjects. This year’s Adeje Summer University, UVA 2025, was inspired by the theme of multiculturalism, where the concept of well-being played a significant role as a unifying thread across cultures.
The ‘Physical Activity, Health, and Well-being’ course was led by renowned health professionals, including the well-known experts Boticaria García, famous for her health advice on various national television programs, Javier Butrageño, member of the board of directors of the “Spanish Association for the Study of Obesity”, Mario Redondo, physiotherapist specialized in rehabilitation exercises for cancer patients and founder of the “Exercise Physiology Cancer Center”, Patry Jordán, famous for her work related to health and physical exercise with a great following in social media, among many other professionals in the field of health and physical activity.

Maxim Leshchenko had the opportunity to share knowledge and collaborate with these experts, while also leading a practical workshop introducing attendees to Yantra Yoga. It was great to see the growing interest in holistic approaches to well-being. The event provided a valuable opportunity for health professionals to connect and share knowledge.
The course “Physical activities, Health and Well-being” was reported as one of the most successful and had the highest number of enrollments at UVA 2025.
The Atiyoga Foundation is grateful for the invitation and appreciates the excellent organization by the Adeje City Council, the University of La Laguna (ULL), and the Tenerife Island Council.
