- A position of garden assistant to Ailx de Fermor is open to members of the Dzogchen Community. The person should have the following qualifications:
- Age between 25 and 40 years old
- Preferably male, because of the use of heavy machinery like chain saws, etc.
- Experience: Should have some gardening experience on a professional level. If the experience is not fully professional, then the person should at least have a strong interest in growing plants.
- Should have a flexible mind enabling them to learn new gardening techniques
- Should posses the skill to organize team work ( able to judge the capacity of team members and give them tasks according to their capacities)
- Have the desire to live in Tenerife in a stable way
- Should be in top physical condition as the job is very physically taxing
This person would be trained by Alix, the current head gardener, in order to insure the maintenance of the garden in a certain way and, if manifesting the right capacities, and the desire to live in Dzamling Gar, would be the future replacement for Alix as the garden maintenance manager.
There will be a trial period starting in February and this person would receive accommodation in the Gar and salary.
This is a part time job of 6 hours a day, from 7.00 to 13.00.
