Astrology and art workshop with Migmar Tsering

Wednesday, September 2nd– Sunday, September 6th, 2020
Shang Shung Institute Austria in Yeselling

With greatest pleasure we invite you to the astrology and art workshop with Migmar Tsering in September 2020. It will be the first time that such a workshop will be organized and held in a German speaking country.

This workshop is based on the astrology of Jung-we-Kyil-khor, the mandala of the elements. The purpose of this mandala is to harmonize the elements of our life, capacity, fortune, and protection. As the essential base of the elements is symbolized by colors, our elements can be modified and harmonized through colors, mantras and through practice, and therefore the external elements can be favorably influenced, too.

Migmar points out:
Drawing the five elements in their symbolic aspect is a method that mainly serves to harmonize the elements that are not in harmony at the time of one’s birth, and to relax the mind while producing an object of great ornamental value.
Why is it necessary to harmonize the elements related to one’s birth? Because everything, internal and external, is made up of the five elements. Internal refers to every sentient being, the external refers to everything that appears. When these elements are in harmony everything goes ahead in the best possible way, but when they are in conflict, life is shortened and the capacity, health and fortune are diminished. But harmony can be restored and rediscovered.

The drawings of the five elements have been used since ancient times, but they are not widespread because they make use of both astrological and artistic knowledge.
Making drawings personally under the guidance of a qualified instructor also helps to calm the mind, and the drawings are just beautiful! We can really enjoy looking at them and we can use them to decorate our homes with extremely unique and auspicious images. According to the principle of interdependence, seeing and being in contact with images created in this way, for example by placing them in an area of the house where we often see them, will harmonize the elements.

The course will be taught in English, if necessary with German translation.

The maximum number of participants is limited to 20 people.

During this workshop we will:
– calculate the elements related to our birth date and in that way understand our weaknesses and conflicts,
– do basic drawing of the elements’ shapes and how to develop a mandala of the elements,
– design a complete mandala of the elements.

Planned timetable
We start every day at 10.00am.
From 10.00am – 12.30pm we learn about the theory of Tibetan Astrology, from 4.00pm – 6.30pm we do the drawings.
