GIVE A HAND TO THE INTERNATIONAL GAKYIL: JOIN THE TEAM!

RED IG Assistant WITH EXPERIENCE IN ITALIAN LAW Is Urgently Needed And Welcome!

Dear Members of the International Dzogchen Community,

The International Gakyil (IG) is a volunteer group of International Dzogchen Community (IDC) members whose mission is to facilitate and promote collaboration between all IDC Gars and Lings, support their local activities, and provide oversight and global services to all IDC members. They are also responsible for the administrative and information functions of the IDC association. The global services and the administrative and information functions include:

● Global Membership policy & dzogchen.net (Membership Management System)

● Webcast platform

● The Mirror

● International Teachers (payroll & administration)

● IDC Copyright and Trademark

● Collaborate with the Gars/Lings on different matters

● Manage legal and financial issues for the IDC

● Collaboration with the International Atiyoga Foundation, ASIA, Shang Shung Publications Impresa Sociale S.r.l.

The Board of Directors of the IDC, the IG in office, is composed of six people:

The IG is looking for an interested and dedicated IDC member to join its team as a Red Assistant familiar with Italian law for a trial period of several months with the serious intention of becoming an IG member for the next three-year term starting upon the approval of the financial statements at the Annual General Assembly (AGA) – date and location of the AGA to be confirmed.

General requirements:

IDC membership for the last three consecutive years plus the current year. Members of longer standing are a plus.
Knowledge about IDC & DZ Community processes. Previous experience working on a Gar/Ling Gakyil, or another IDC management position is a plus.
Availability to regularly attend IG meetings (recurring and extraordinary).
Ability to work in a team and online.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Basic computer and IT skills.

RED GAKYIL ASSISTANT

Main requirements:

1. Experience in Italian law, privacy policy and administration, preferably with non-profit organizations (having all three is a plus)

2. International background in law is a plus

3. Proficiency in spoken and written Italian

Main responsibilities:

Keeping the IDC Statute up to date and compliant with the Italian law for non-profit organizations.
Managing Gars and Lings affiliation process to the IDC and keeping all the relevant documents up to date.
Working with the IDC lawyer and other advisors on any legal issues.
IDC Privacy Policy.
Setting Memorandum of Understanding between the IDC and other internal organizations.
Managing any extraordinary projects from a legal point of view.
