What a satisfaction and joy to have done the Kumar Kumari Yoga project in the school in Castiglione d’Orcia, Tuscany, again this year!
After working successfully for six years on yoga projects in schools in the Grosseto area of Monte Amiata thanks to the organization of ASIA Onlus, this is the second year that I am also teaching in the Sienese Val d’Orcia, a portion of Monte Amiata that belongs to the province of Siena.

This new project was organized by the Union of the Municipalities of Amiata Val d’Orcia and carried out in the Abbadia San Salvatore Comprehensive School (which includes the municipalities of Abbadia and Castiglione d’Orcia), through PEZ funds (Zonal Educational Plans), and funded by the Tuscany Region and the European Union.
The PEZ projects deal with inclusion across the board, from children with disabilities to children with languages and cultures other than Italian, to children with special educational needs, and are aimed at the whole class group.
The courses I did last year in Abbadia and Castiglione d’Orcia all had very positive feedback, and this year my colleagues also participated and taught in municipalities in the province of Siena (Natasha Priymak worked at a school in Abbadia, and Letizia Pizzetti in Abbadia, Piancastagnaio and Roccalbegna).

I am very happy with this collaboration and would like to thank Letizia Pizzetti for giving the impetus for the initial project!
