For years Merigar has pursued the project of a Museum of Asian Art and Culture where the valuable Namkhai collection can be preserved and made available to the general public.
The work is progressing quickly, with the cooperation of distinguished professionals from different fields and the hard work of several volunteers from the Community. The Municipality of Arcidosso has granted some space in the old Castle in the town center, pledging to restructure it and make it suitable for use as a museum.
We are pleased to announce the official opening of the Museum in the presence of guests from all over the world. The official opening will be on 10-11 December 2016 and there will also be an occasion to celebrate 35 years of the Merigar Dzogchen Community. It will be a great festivity in which our different communities scattered all over the globe will be able to meet.
On this occasion we will also celebrate the birthday of our beloved Master, who will return to Merigar to attend the various events that are planned.
