Dear friends,

Shang Shung UK’s Insight Tours is back! Offering you a trip to Cambodia from January 2nd to January 10th 2016.

Travel back in time, exploring and admiring the largest temple complex in the world, the legendary Angkor Wat. It was built by 10 different kings, between the 7th and 16th century, and learn about the evolution of Khmer art over the centuries.

Shop for handicrafts in local markets and be entertained by local circus artists and dancers. Sail on the legendary Mekong river, the heartbeat of Asia, which flows through China,  Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. See floating villages on stilts. Learn about the notorious Khmer Rouge and feel the pain of the country’s horrific past on a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Chorung Ek Killing Fields.

Walk through jungles to visit ancient shrines on riverbeds. Meditate alongside Buddhist monks at Wat Atheav monastery.

At sunset watch the evening traffic on the Mekong River as you sip a cocktail at the rooftop bar of the Foreign Correspondents Club, a historical meeting point for famed journalists and writers.
