Dear friends and supporters,
This year ASIA is 30 years old.
It was December 21, 1988, when a group of young people devoted to Tibetan culture formed, together with their teacher, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, the non-profit organization Association for International Solidarity in Asia, ASIA, with the mission to protect the heritage of culture, traditions and spirituality of Tibet and to help the people of the Himalayas improve their living conditions.
In these 30 years, always guided and inspired by our President and Founder, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, we have carried out more than 200 projects and brought help to around one million four hundred thousand people.
Sadly Chögyal Namkhai Norbu passed away on September 27th.
For a year, we intend to respect the request from his family and the International Dzogchen Community for silence and mourning. We have therefore decided to postpone the events we had planned to celebrate for Thirtieth Anniversary of ASIA until next year.
This period of silence and reflection will allow us to think about our future and the new strategies of the organization.
In November and December, there will be moments when we can update you on the projects and activities we are carrying ahead.
You can find all the information in the news section of our website asia-ngo.org
Best wishes
Andrea Dell’Angelo
