Dear Vajra Family of the International Dzogchen Community,

On September 27, 2024, we will observe the sixth anniversary of our precious Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s departure from our earthly dimension.

We remember Rinpoche with love and gratitude for his selfless dedication, his compassion, and the invaluable living knowledge he gave to us all.

As our sangha navigates the inevitable challenges of life, we continue to feel the power and recognize the gift of Rinpoche’s presence six years after his passing. We are thankful for the joyful moments spent in his company whether he was leading our group practices, inspiring us with his endless energy for collaboration, or offering us individual words of advice in a quiet moment. Most of all, we value the priceless knowledge our Master transmitted to all of us throughout his life, setting an example for us with his focus, dedication, and compassion.

Despite the passage of time, Rinpoche’s life and teachings continue to inspire us as our Community moves forward. We, his students, remain committed to integrating View, Meditation, and Behavior in our daily life, and to the activities of Gars and Lings, as well as the various organizations Rinpoche founded including ASIA, ATIF, IDC, MACO, and Shang Shung Publications.

Our sangha continues to do its best by studying, by deepening our knowledge, and by preserving Rinpoche’s precious Teachings. Multiple opportunities to practice together and share this living knowledge and understanding with each other both locally and globally have been created, nurturing the spirit of collaboration so that it may be naturally maintained in each of us for the benefit of all.

On this anniversary, we thank Rinpoche for the treasure of the Teachings, but also all of you who, with devotion and unwavering commitment, are keeping Rinpoche’s legacy alive and the Dzogchen Community united and active.

With infinite love and appreciation, we pay homage to our beloved Master, his presence is always with us, alive, strong, and inspiring.

With gratitude,

The International Gakyil Team,

Miranda, Fabrizio, Gabriella, Oni, Rosa, Richard, Piotr, and Aleksander, Heike, Svetlana, Marija and Nikol
