Tashigar Norte hosted an online practice retreat led by Enzo Terzano on the Short Tun of Jnana Dakini Goma Devi from 29 January to 1 February 2026, with two sessions daily.
Goma Devi and the Vajra Dance are deeply connected to Tashigar Norte, as is Enzo himself. Over the years Enzo has edited many texts in collaboration with Shang Shung Publications. He is a Level One Vajra Dance instructor and an authorized Level One SMS instructor. His unique, focused and joyful energy pervaded the retreat.
Enzo began by explaining the lineage of Goma Devi and our connection as practitioners. He emphasized that a Short Tun is not “easier” by being short – that in fact it is much more difficult because we really have to just DO without the distraction of external actions. He asked – “How many people who do these practices actually know what they are doing?” This was our opportunity to learn what we are doing in every phase.
Enzo’s explanations focused on each element of the Tun, including purification, refuge, visualization, mantra, the Song of the Vajra and finally the dedication of merit. What is purification? What is refuge? What does BAM look like and where does it reside? The significance of Goma Devi’s appearance, posture, ornamentation and color were carefully reviewed and brought to life. Mudras were clarified. Melodies were practiced. He emphasized the importance of using our voice (words) with absolute integrity. There were opportunities to ask questions every day.
Each session began with a White A and concluded with doing the Short Tun of Jnana Dakini Goma Devi and the dedication of merit.
Practitioners from all over the world participated and expressed their profound gratitude for this precious opportunity.
The Gakyil of Tashigar Norte sends many Tashi-Delegs and thank-you’s to Enzo, the translators, the technical crew and attendees for their participation.
We are hopeful that one day we will practice this Tun in person together at Tashigar Norte.
