ONLINE TIBETAN LANGUAGE WEEKEND COURSES FOR BEGINNERS

As a follow-up of the TIBETAN LANGUAGE COURSE FOR BEGINNERS, the Shang Shung Institute Austria offers a series of weekend courses on Tibetan language, focussing on the translation of Tibetan texts. We will examine in detail the most common practices used in the Dzogchen Community, starting with the Thun book.

Dates: 19th to 20th September 2015, 10th-11th October 2015, 14th-15th November 2015
Schedule for each weekend course: Saturday from 10.00-12.30 am and 2.00-4.30 pm and Sundays from10.00-12.30 am CET

Instructor: The courses are held by Prof. Fabian Sanders

Where: ONLINE via skype conference.

Requirements: The weekends are intended for people who have already participated in a Tibetan language course for Beginners offered by the Shang Shung Institute Austria, or have a basic knowledge of reading and grammar of Classical Tibetan Language.

In case that you are interest to follow a word-by-word translation of the practices used in the Dzogchen Community, but you still don’t know Tibetan, you can try to follow as a listener reading the Drajyor transcription.

ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE RECEIVED TRANSMISSION of the practices we will be working on can participate in these courses.

Costs: One weekend: 85 Euro, for members of the Shang Shung Institute Austria in 2015: 40 Euro.

SPECIAL OFFER:  Set-price for all three weekend-course: 185 Euro, for members of the Shang Shung Institute Austria in 2015: 95 Euro.

One is not obliged to participate in all three weekend-courses, one can also just participate on one or two, although it is recommended to all weekend courses.
