Anniversary of the Birth of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu

Practices and Events at Merigar, December 7-11

This year, on the occasion of December 8, the anniversary of the birth of our Master, and in the following days, we are planning some days of practices and events, together with MACO, the Dynamic Space of the Elements and the Municipality of Arcidosso.

Wednesday December 7th Ganapuja of Mandarava with authentication of Namkha and Lungta.

On December 8th we will start with a Sang and Serkyem practice, then we will follow the Tara practice and a short session of Khaita in webcast from Dzamling Gar. At 2pm the names of the winners of the fundraising campaign “December 8” will be announced, also in open webcast.

In the afternoon, from 4 pm, in the Conference Hall of the Arcidosso Castle, presentation of two exhibitions: the ‘Silk Road Pilgrimage’ exhibition, a multisensory journey to discover the legendary Silk Road through the precious objects of the Namkhai collection, and ‘The Potential of the Elements’, an exhibit organised by Dynamic Space of the Elements which will also present a new project in collaboration with young artists from all over the world.

The opening of the two exhibitions will take place at 5 pm in the MACO (Museum of Asian Art and Culture in Arcidosso). Refreshments will be offered.

Then, in the evening, Tibetan dinner in the Gönpa, followed by a musical show with Alessandro Golini on the violin and Paolo Batistini on the guitar.
