A Heartfelt Gathering of Practices and Community
by Andrei Vasilev

On June 21, we came together to celebrate Yoga Day with a rich program of practices, inspiration, and human connection. Around 60 people joined us – 90% of which were new people — filling the space with warmth, curiosity, and openness.
The event opened with a welcoming introduction, followed by several sessions presenting different aspects of yoga including Kumar Kumari for children.
Among them, Alessandra and I presented Yantra Yoga, an ancient Tibetan system that integrates movement, breath, and awareness. Due to time limitations, we shared just a few essential elements:
– the 9 Purification Breaths,
– the first and second exercises of Tsigjong,
– the first movement of Lungsang,
– the first movement of Tsandul,
– and we concluded with 7 deep breaths and relaxation in Nyalwap.
Throughout the session, Carlos kindly translated everything into Spanish, making the practice accessible to all.

After our presentation, we felt the atmosphere was filled with attention, interest, and warm engagement. The participants responded with heartfelt applause — a touching sign that the transmission was received openly and with gratitude.

The day continued with other yoga practices, sharings, a simple raffle, and a vegetarian lunch that gave everyone a chance to connect informally and enjoy the community spirit.
There’s always room to grow, but what stood out most was the shared intention and connection.
We look forward to co-creating an even more enriching Yoga Day in the future!
