Our much beloved Vajra Brother Jim Valby died very peacefully around 8 pm ET/US on June 22, 2026 in Greenfield Massachusetts, surrounded by family, friends and Vajra brothers and sisters. In the days preceding his death there was a continuous stream of visitors, who Jim, despite his discomfort, allowed with his generous grace to say goodbye and sound a farewell A together. There was practice done in his presence and in the immediate aftermath of his death. We are forever indebted to this special being who gave endlessly of himself and his wisdom. Jim will be missed beyond words.
