By the end of July, along with a hundred other representatives of the town’s cultural and religious associations and citizen groups, Dzamling Gar was honored to have been invited to the launch of the campaign Adeje Convivencia Diez, at the beautiful Convento de Santo Francisco.
José Miguel Rodriguez Fraga, the eloquent Mayor of this warm-hearted town, spoke of his commitment to ensure that all citizens have the space and resources to preserve and share their cultural traditions and beliefs of origin.
When it was Dzamling Gar’s turn to speak, after thanking them for the occasion to participate in the discussions and development of the campaign, we spoke of Dzamling Gar Song, that our master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu composed to celebrate the opening of our center, inviting people to come and rejoice in here. The lyrics reinforce the values of collaboration and evolution, to benefit both the present and future generations. We recognize the same call for evolution on the strategies created by the municipal and insular government to address this multicultural society.
Just as Dzamling Gar Song joyfully describes the manifestation of happiness, good fortune and peace when we remain in our primordial state of total perfection, we rejoice in our good fortune to live in such a blessed place that has all that it needs, to coexist successfully, as we strive to enrich our cultural and social developments.
