A glimpse of the Tibetan people

This exhibition is dedicated to the enormous work of research on Tibetan culture carried out by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, ASIA’s Founder and President. He has also been professor of Tibetan and Mongolian languages and Eastern literature at the University of Naples, and has published research recently about the origins of the ancient Tibetan culture.

Work in progress

In the recent years, Namkhai Norbu has dedicated himself to collecting songs and dances of young Tibetan artists, who – with great courage and devotion – express the qualities and characteristics of Tibet and the Tibetan people. In this way, they support the Tibetan culture that, for many reasons, is in risk of disappearing. If their language, knowledge and spiritual heritage disappear, it would mean a great spiritual loss for all humanity.

The pictures and words of this exhibition were taken from the ASIA 2015 calendar, whose aim is to let people discover the richness of Tibetan culture and its values such as non-violence, compassion, and respect for life.
