In Nepal the health system is collapsing. This is the story of the doctors of the Balkot Primary Health Center, in the rural district of Arghakhachi:

“Due to the lack of oxygen we sent 9 people to the state hospital which is 5 hours from here. Unfortunately, three of them did not make it and died on the way to the hospital. If we had a system supplying oxygen we could have saved their lives”

In these last two weeks, the Covid-19 emergency in Nepal is an oxygen emergency: oxygen cylinders are no longer available and hospitals do not accept patients. Nabaraj Acharya, our Program Director in Nepal, tells us about the situation in this video.

Four community hospitals from the rural districts of Arghakhachi, Sindhupalchowk and Raswua have asked us for help, WE NEED YOU!

WE MUST URGENTLY PROVIDE OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS

Even in Myanmar the situation for the communities of the rural district of Mindat, in the state of Chin – where we are present with a development project – is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous.

This area was occupied by the army, and the population had to flee to the mountains to protect themselves from violence and persecution by the military.

In collaboration with the Myanmar Red Cross we are organizing a distribution of basic necessities: rice, food for children, blankets and protective devices to prevent infections in an already dramatic situation.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE HAVE TO ACT NOW.
