Losar in Prague
Cultural Event with Fundraising for ASIA Onlus

The Czech Community is happy to inform you that this year once again we organized wonderful Losar celebrations in the ancient Prague New Town Hall on February 13th 2016 from 14:00 to late night.The Losar event is a successful project for the public which we have already been organizing for eleven years.
The Tibetan Buddhist groups existing in Prague are involved and also many organizations supporting Tibetan culture and human rights together with the Tibetan community living in the Czech Republic. The Czech Dzogchen Community is the main organizer of the whole event every year.
On the main stage we presented a cultural program for the general public: Tibetan singer Loten Namling, Yantra Yoga and the Vajra Dance presentation, collective meditation, Khaita Joyful dances, lottery and various performers and music groups. Every year we invite well known professional musicians who play for free and dedicates their fees to support Tibet through ASIA. On the parallel stage various DJs played. There was also a huge space for specific workshops and presentations of various traditions and documentaries from Tibet.
The whole event was also designed for families with children, so a playroom and workshops for children were organized (Kumar Kumari, theater, painting mandalas).
For hungry and thirsty people there was also a little restaurant with Tibetan, Indian and RAW food and Tearoom.
Visitors could buy books and many other articles from many dharma-shops.
The whole event was attended by approximately 700 visitors and we received huge nice feedback from visitors. We are happy that also several articles were published in Czech Press about the event. All fundraising profit will be sent, as always, for ASIA, where we have adopted 4 children from the Losar proceeds since 2005. This year we also support the earthquake victims in Nepal.

It is big joy to collaborate with all enthusiastic volunteers (everybody works as karmayogi) to make such a big event happen every year and through it share Tibetan knowlidge and support Tibet.
