It is March 14, 2021, and unfortunately still impossible to meet in person at Gyamtsholing, the Ling in Venice, Italy.
An online meeting on zoom has been organized so that the outgoing Gakyil can report to all practitioners of the Dzogchen Community of Venice the activities carried out in the last year, present the budget and have it voted on, and carry out the election of the new Gakyil. Many of us are connected to computers or mobile phones and, although this period of time is certainly not easy, being able to talk to each other, discuss and listen to the representatives of the Blue, Yellow and Red Gakyil talk about the steps taken during the last twelve months of the pandemic is a way to feel close and part of one wonderful community. We have still managed to keep in touch, follow some beautiful online courses and meet for numerous practices thanks to some of us, especially instructors and teachers, and for this we are all very grateful to the outgoing Gakyil that really worked hard to keep close to us.
Now we start with the new Gakyil: Chiara Carraro for the Blue, Giuliana Giromella for the Red, and our unshakeable and always available Paola Pillon for the Yellow, who generously renews her presence. Anamaria Humeres also very kindly stays on to keep up the newsletter and communications. The new Gakyil will be joined by many helpers who have offered to contribute to the work of the Ling, each with their own abilities.
It is a new year and we look forward to celebrating soon in person … even physically!
