During the Easter holidays, a supervision retreat for the second-level Vajra Dance – the Dance of the Song of the Vajra – took place in Phendeling, South Bohemia. Three second-level Vajra Dance teachers participated: Lorraine Gaultier (FR), Sâchiko Fullita (ES), and Milan Polášek (CZ). Also present were three first-level instructors. Each teacher was accompanied by support from their own country, making this retreat a truly international event at the Czech Phendeling center.

The retreat was beautifully guided by Adriana Dal Borgo, one of the two international teachers and head of the ATIF Vajra Dance department.

The atmosphere and the weather throughout the retreat were both wonderful.

Thanks to the teachers’ supervision, their patience, and kindness, we were able to go through the first part of the Dance of the Song of the Vajra together. New participants learned this section of the dance.

The second part of the supervision is currently being planned. The international teacher and head of the ATIF Vajra Dance department, Prima Mai, is expected to come in September. The exact date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

We also hope to arrange a deepening Vajra Dance retreat with Adriana Dal Borgo next Easter.

At Phendeling, the mandala is painted directly onto the wooden floor of the gönpa, providing a supportive space for dance. We try to dance at least a little during every retreat. Every month, at least one weekend is reserved for collective practice on the Mandala or of Khaita Joyful Dances.

We are deeply grateful to be able to gather this often and deepen our practice together. The supervision retreat was undoubtedly a great opportunity.

You are warmly invited to join us in the Czech Republic for some of our future collective practices. Feel free to contact us at [email protected].
