Dear Vajra siblings,
We want to thank you so much for being with us in last years and supporting our activity to bring the Wangdenling gompa reconstruction to the successful end.
With your kind intention and help we have collected in fundraising 2/3 of total amount 40 500 to fund the reconstruction. This helped us considerably to finish main works literally in time, just before irreversible damage would happened.
The reconstruction consisted of removing rotten parts of wooden pillars in the gompa’s fundament and replacing them with concrete bases. Some of the pillars had to be completely replaced with new wood. Altogether we repaired 48 pillars.
Thanks to your contribution the place can serve for the practitioners as a support for developing the knowledge and studying the teachings of our beloved Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu also in future years.
Now we can enjoy the space and concentrate more on the further development of the ling (in next years we plan to built the dormitory instead of current old earthen house).
But in next two months there are still some last touches on the reconstruction to be done (repairing and conservation of the entrance part of the gompa, applying of protective paints on outer pillars and all the parts of gompa, whenever it isnecessary, etc, in cost of 5 000 Eur.
