So many emotions! The other day I concluded the last session of Khaita Joyful Dances at the school in the village of Seggiano, a few kilometres from Merigar.

Khaita was created by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 2011 (it means “Harmony in Space,” in Tibetan “Kha” – space, “Ta” – melody/harmony). I still remember how happy the Master was to see the children trying to imitate us and dance. For this reason he selected some dances for the Khaita collection just for the children.

These Joyful Dances help children discover the harmony of body, energy and mind, also creating harmony with each other and the environment. They improve mood, bring joy to daily activities, foster bonds with others and create a relationship of sharing and mutual trust.

The “We Are One” project (“Siamo noi”) presents a number of activities such as Kumar Kumari Yantra Yoga, Khaita Joyful Dances and Mindfulness each year in Italian schools. I want to thank ASIA ETS for making it possible for the project to take place this year by organizing it and proposing it to the Italian Buddhist Union in collaboration with Merigar.  I would also like to sincerely thank Adriana Dal Borgo, Christiane Rhein and Giulia Yangcen Mimaciren for always encouraging me to continue doing Khaita.
