We Khaita teachers, Salima Celeri, Giulia Yangcen Mimaciren and Lena Dumcheva, are very excited to share with you the Modern Gorshey* project: a new collection of contemporary Tibetan dances. This project is our homage to Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s work on Tibetan songs and dances and a sincere expression of our understanding of Khaita, with the intention of ensuring its infinite future.

Initiated by the Mayor of Adeje, Jose Miguel Rodriguez Fraga, this project is named “Mentalizate”: The primary meaning of this Spanish verb is “making aware” and the project aims at making the public of Adeje aware of the many dire consequences of the ongoing pandemic on their own mental health and equip them to cope with their effects in a positive way.

Adriana, a Gestalt psychologist and psychotherapist, has dedicated herself since 1992 to contemplative dances and to the methods for awareness in movement learned directly from Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
