If I tell my story from the present time, I sometimes wonder if I am a musician or a sound artist. I feel more like a sculptor that shapes sound molding time in space. It makes sense, my last name Nakkach means artisan, and if I separate the N-from the akkach, it sounds like akash, meaning ‘clear space’, ‘sky’ in Indian Cosmology.

My film making career happened kind of miraculously. I never thought about film making. Never. But around fifteen years ago, Eduardo Sagalaev, one of the leaders of Russian television, was having a spiritual crisis, got interested in spiritual teachings. He read my book on transpersonal psychology and found me and quickly we became friends. He suggested we make a series of films about my field. He asked for my help. This was around 2006.
