Dzamling Gar Fundraising Update and Initiative

Dear World Wide Dzogchen Community,

Greetings from Dzamling Gar!

Here are the most recent updates for our €400,000 fundraising to cover the payments related to Dzamling Gar Gönpa phase one (the main hall) and legalization of the entire Gar till the end of December 2019.

First of all, we would like to apologize for audio problems during our last webcast and fundraising update last Sunday. We will repeat a thank you to donors with the next good occasion.
As of today, we have received a total €272,225 of donations & commitments to donate; more than half of these funds have already reached our bank account. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and a very special thank you to Chinese Dzogchen Community and Samtengar who have donated €130,000: Beijing Ling members have voted to donate €10,000 from their funds; members have sent €50,000; the recent Samtengar fundraising event with precious items collected another €70,000. Infinite gratitude to all the donors for their generosity, and to Wes and Vince for coordinating our fundraising in China.

Many donors have kindly chosen to support Gars’ houses when donating to Dzamling Gar. The great news is that Kunsangar house has now been completely paid off and has become a potential source of income for Kunsangar. We thank all Kunsangar donors and Gakyil for their collaboration.

– IDC & ASIA house €32,500 donations (€58,000 to repay)
– Tsegyalgar house €460 donations (€63,000 to repay)
– Namgyalgar house €6,250 donations (€131,800 to repay)

Now we need to raise the remaining €128,000 by the end of December. We will be organizing fundraising events with precious items in November (online) and December (from Dzamling Gar via webcast and online). Among the prizes are relics of Rigdzin Changchub Dorje, Rinpoche’s calligraphy and Vajra Dance universal mandala painting by Prima Mai with Rinpoche’s Longsal signature.
