We are writing to inform you of some very good news. Steve Landsberg (President of the IDC) has accepted our invitation to be the new SMS coordinator for Tsegyalgar and our Precious Master has approved of the appointment.
This means we have an official person who will review applications for SMS Exam applicants and also someone who is able to respond to your written practice questions. You can reach Steve by email at

Meet Steve Landsberg:
Steve Landsberg began to study Tibetan Buddhism in 1967 while living in India, also studying Sanskrit and Tibetan and performing preliminary practices for several years. In 1982 he attended his first retreat with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and began practicing under his guidance. He has pursued the study and practice of Santi Maha Sangha since 1996, eventually being authorized to teach SMS by Rinpoche in August 2010.
Since then he has given many courses on various aspects of the SMS Base level as well as public courses on mindfulness and the application of presence, and how these skills can be generally useful. Steve is now the President of the International Dzogchen Community Gakyil and the SMS coordinator for Tsegyalgar.
