Between the 17th and the 26th of July, the Yantra Yoga second level supervision took place at Merigar West. It was a long-awaited opportunity for us candidates to check our knowledge and receive advice.

All the candidates of the supervision have some experience in teaching Yantra Yoga, in person and online in different countries and languages. Those present here have been teaching in Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Spain and Lithuania.

Although the tension was high when we started, we soon realized that this was not an “examination”, but an invitation to share our experience, to open and to go beyond the standard formulas that we had learned by heart. It felt, in this sense, more like a retreat than an exam. This increased our motivation rather than our anxiety.

The strength of the group dimension felt like a tangible application of the principle of collaboration and it gradually evolved into an understanding that together we are perfect. We complete each other’s knowledge, confident of our common goal: the continuation of the transmission.

Laura Evangelisti and Honza Dolesky

We are deeply grateful to Laura Evangelisti and Honza Dolensky, who guided this supervision, supported by second level teachers Marco Baseggio and Fulvio Grosso. Also present were other teachers and practitioners. This multitude of voices and perspectives enriched the learning process and led us to deepen our practice even further.

We express deep gratitude to Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Namkhai Yeshi for the precious Teachings. Besides those present, we also thank Fabio Andrico, who trained us for many years and third level teachers Oni McKinstry and Maxim Leshchenko.

The day of the graduation, as often happens at Merigar West, there were magical atmospheric manifestations. A dramatic thunderstorm set the stage and sounded the starting gong of our demonstration with a thunder that shook the gönpa floor. As we demonstrated the III, IV and V series, a light rain fell against the sunlight and looked like sparkles were being poured from the sky. With the final dedication of merits, the thunderstorm settled and the July sun warmed our collective embraces.

We deeply understand that the second level is not an achievement nor a higher status. The second level of Yantra Yoga means an engagement to pursue with dedication the real meaning of this practice and to discover and dwell in its essence, the state of contemplation.

We congratulate the new second level teachers:
