In Tashigar Norte there was a Qigong course from May 22-24, 2015 and it was a very nice experience. The Gar rented facilities and prepared meals with love, and we also had the help of the people who normally are responsible for cleaning some of the areas of the Gar or the houses.
Eucaris Navarro, the instructor of the institute Zhenhe of the School YMAA (Yang’s Martial Arts Association) was in charge of teaching the course. The YMAA school was created by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming with the aim of preserving traditional Chinese martial arts, taijijuan and quigong.
Qigong, qi gong, chi kung, or chi gung is a practice that Intended to “align” body, breath, and mind for health, meditation, and martial arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has-been translated as “life energy”.
It was a very harmonious workshop and everyone enjoyed it.
The course was about Ba Duang Jin (8 pieces of brocade), which is an ancient, very traditional and very popular form of Qigong.
All twenty-six participants occupied the areas of Tashigar Norte, living and sleeping in the dormitory, camping and “posada Tortuga Dorada”.
The last day, the participantes gave fruit, goodies and some presents to the organizers of Tashigar Norte as a humble expression of sincere gratitude and we were all very excited and happy for the harmonious and successful course.
Tashigar Norte has had other similar experiences in the past to create financial autonomy, like TASHIPARK and ECOFERIA and we are planning repeat these types of events in the future, to sustain our precious Gar.
