The Practice of Shine – Concentrate and Relax the Mind – June 5-7, 2026 at Dzamling Gar
We are very pleased to announce our next webcast Ganapujas from Dzamling Gar & Merigar in webcast.
Participants had come from many parts of the world, including China, South Africa, and Argentina, to study the teachings of Yantra Yoga. It was moving to be part of such a diverse group, all gathered with a shared intention. Together we explored the relationship between breath, movement, and rhythm.
As Steven and Alessandro explained from the outset, the retreat had an experimental feel and had come together in a relatively short time. Rather than replacing tradition, we were exploring collaboratively how the nature of mind might be recognized in new ways – supported by immersive soundscapes which were produced and performed live.
The Medicine Buddha Retreat was a successful result of a close and fruitful collaboration between the Tibetan Medicine School and the Gakyil of Dzamling Gar.
It was a surprising pleasure to awaken each morning to lovely birdsongs and walk through the semidarkness to the Gönpa of Dzamling Gar to begin another day of the Long Life practice of Mandarava, and to feel the presence of our Rinpoche, who 42 years ago in the cave of Mandarava in Nepal miraculously received this terma practice of Mandarava in a series of dreams.
During the retreat I often had the sense of eternity in the moment: time dilation was an unavoidable reality! The inevitable last day of the retreat arrived too soon. Namkhai Yeshi kindly gave us some simple, sound advice: relax, enjoy, try to avoid extreme feelings and behaviors that promote these feelings.
We are very pleased to announce our next webcast Ganapuja from Merigar and Dzamling Gar for this month of March
We’re glad to share our freshly prepared program for the retreat, and we hope it helps you prepare for our time together at Dzamling Gar.
