Santi Maha Sangha course with Jakob Winkler at Dzamling Gar, November 12th-16th, 2025
4th in a series of Podcast Interviews with Santi Maha Sangha Teachers
The course took place on 31 Oct – 2 Nov 2025, the weekend preceding Melbourne Cup day holiday. The venue was the Melbourne Unitarian church, which generously allowed us access to the hall on a donation basis. Five older students and eight new dancers showed up. As the course proceeded, a sweet, soft, warm environment of harmony developed, as one would expect when people are sharing the Mandala together to practice precious teachings sincerely.
Since those distant days, Yantra Yoga – one of the first practices taught by Rinpoche – continues to be one of the main gateways to the Teaching and remains an invaluable tool capable of bringing benefit and relief to many in this corrupted age, where stress, discomfort, and confusion are increasingly widespread, and Yoga is often reduced to yet another business.
Oni taught the preliminary exercises and all five series of yantras, including the first to fourth series in both first and second variations. She also taught all five pranayamas. The teaching was comprehensive and integrated, respecting the diverse levels and physical conditions of the participants. At the same time, it challenged each of us to go beyond our limits and deepen our personal practice. Oni is an outstanding teacher, whom we hold in deep respect.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Rinpoche, Fabio and Laura, as well as all the instructors for transmitting Yantra Yoga worldwide. May many more people connect with the method of Yantra Yoga and practice it in future!
We have just completed another cycle of our Kunye Massage & External Therapies 3-Level Educational Program. This in-person training at the beautiful Dzamling Gar allowed students to gain hands-on experience in Tibetan therapeutic practices while also learning in a very close and personalized way with our beloved team: our director, Dr. Phuntsog Wangmo, and teachers Irina Pankevich and Medegma Budaeva.
Tsadul (with chair options) with Fabio Andrico (assisted by Alessandra Policretiti) and participation of Dr. Phuntsog Wangmo on Tsadul and Tibetan Medicine, from March 28-30, 2025. There were approximately 80 participants on line.
A longtime cherished Vajra sister reached out to me, seemingly out of the blue, to invite me to Dzamling Gar for Losar. She plucked me out of samsara. I had never been to Dzamling Gar and I hadn’t been to a retreat since our precious teacher transitioned.
Rinpoche used to say that Margarita could be a place for some of us to retire to. A place to practice and grow old together. He also referred to the power of the region with respect to local guardians and the potential benefits for this part of the world.
